Well, it's that time of year again.
Most schools put on a musical production in the late winter/early spring. What are your schools doing, how involved are you?
We're doing Damn Yankees. It's shaping up to be a great show, although we've been very undermanned in several areas. We've had no set crew, makeup, or dance instructor for most of the production, and we're also lacking a few instruments in our Pit. (Namely trumpets)
I personally am running the Pit (not conducting, managing), covering three parts because of what we're missing, and heading up the set crew. I'm also helping with lights and mics and such, among other things. It's a lot of work but I'm enjoying it and it's very rewarding.

I haven't been in a musical in years, not counting the one I dropped out of last year. I would have tried out for the one at school, but it strictly called for an all-black cast.

Yeah they do. I was in two Community College Musical. The college is called UCC. Umpqua Community College. Look it up |
