xx Request Fulfillment
July 07, 2011, 07:06:58 AM by SirIngusBingus
Here at VGV, we really care about all the nonmembers.

The whole purpose of this site is to create a database of video game sheet music for the world to use, free of charge! And naturally, the site would be much, much better if it was full of sheet music that people actually want. So, naturally, it follows that we have a request system (it's over there under the 'Music' tab).

Now, a number of you nonmembers have already been making great use of this feature of the site, and we're thrilled. But a few of you had a question:

How do I know if my request is being fulfilled?

Here's the answer we've come up with.

Every time one of you makes a request, it shows up here, as a post in the forums. From now on, whenever one of our arrangers decides to take a request, (listen up now, arrangers!) he or she is going to send me, SirIngusBingus, a private message. Then, I'll edit the post in the forums that has your request to say "In Progress," or something to that effect. So essentially, you should check back to that thread frequently to see if your request is being completed or not.

HOWEVER. The best way to find out that status of your request? Join the forums! Make an account and start posting! We're friendly people. We'd love to have you. <3

xx Where's Hugo?

Big news, everybody!

HUGOMEISTER IS GONE.

Yeah, since he's moving, he doesn't have internet until Sunday! That's two whole days. And I think we all know what that means. That's right! Anarachy! NO MORE RULES! NO MORE PARENTS! NO MORE BEDTIMES! Let's tattoo pentacles onto our neighbors pets and sacrifice them to that chubby kid down the street who doesn't wear a shirt!

Feel free to break any rules you would like to. Invite Akiro back, curse at small children, abuse family members, whatever. Just have it all cleaned up before Mum Hugo gets home.

This also means that submissions and the constant barrage of Internet Explorer complaints should be postponed until he gets back. Or continue to submit and make complaints, but understand that when he returns, you will have incurred his hateful and destructive wrath.

Your decision!

xx We're Back!

No seriously, we're back.

So here's our ribbon-cutting ceremony: Welcome to the official VGVirtuoso.

Though our little website was long overdue, I hope you guys find everything to be well worth the wait. It might not be the most beautiful website in the world, or the fanciest - oh wait, yes it is. Nevermind.

But you guys deserve some explanation as to why everything took so long. Instead of spending paragraphs ranting about it, I'll put it sweetly and concisely.

1. When we set out to start this, I had no idea how to do anything. This was my learning experience as well as my first real project.

2. At the height of our progress, the evils of collegiate study stole away all of my staffing, as well as my own time graduating high school. I just didn't have the people and skills I needed.

3.  Overzealous planning. I pretty much tried to do too much with what limited experience I have, and it overwhelmed me. Sadly the site before you is not complete (in my mind at least), but I promise to keep adding to it.

4. Monetary issues. I suck with money, don't ever lend me things.

5. I really didn't want to release without it being as perfect as I had planned it those years ago. Then I realized that wasn't going to happen and I was just making myself look like a fool.

But enough of wallowing and being emo, the site is up, we're all back together again. I really do thank you guys for sticking around with us, especially those who've been there from the very beginning, and even before that.

Its all for you guys, I hope you enjoy it.

Building off of what Hugo said, we're sorry about the delay.

We're sorry we made you all wait so long. We're sorry that we left you guys with nothing but a coupla' llamas and a promise. But most of all we're sorry that we deniedyou our magnificent website for such a long time.

But we couldn't stop ourselves.

You see, Hugo and I both suffer from a terrible disease which causes delays like this. The disease is called perfectionism and it is the reason why VGV is such a masterpiece.

But we're back and ready to kick as much ass as a website can possibly kick. They warned us that the internet couldn't handle this much ass-kicking...

...but we didn't listen.

Say hello to VGVirtuoso 2.1.
